I was almost in an accident as a result of this when a student put on her right turn signal quite early as we were approaching a traffic light. Right after she signaled, a car pulling out from the corner RaceTrac saw the signal and thought we were turning in for gas—and pulled out right in front of us!

And if you are the one pulling out from a side street or business, do not believe that right turn signal from the vehicle approaching from your left until you see the front wheels actually start to turn!
